Dope Poet Jam (a Rime Royal album update)

If you wanna know how far along Rime Royal is on their new album, just ask Furious (aka Jay Floyd..mean muggin in the pic above). I recently did just that and he told me they got roughly 8-10 tracks done and wanna finish another 8-10 before they "start formulating a cohesive album". I don't know about the featured artists but Furious said he had been working closely with Shawn Charles (the man behind the beats on Full Scholarship) and Ajent O on this one. He also mentioned DJ's playing a role in the sound, with Jack da Rippa's name coming up..as well as Christie Love. What's next for RR?? "...an album photo shoot...and a new video...prolly for Signature Sound. man, we just got so much energy right now. I got a couple other projects I'm working on...I'm in the midst of a creative surge. I have to roll up to B-Side every week and spit some poetry to get some of it off my chest. It's a good feelin' right now...like the opposite of writer's block. Just gotta maintain focus." Jay Floyd, the poet? Nice.

NOTE: Jay wanted me to mention the "bet" Rime Royal has going with their brethren, Edotkom on which duo drops their album first. Apparently winners eachget a bottle of choice from the losing squad. Oughtta be interesting. I expect some bulletin board material to come about before this is all said and done. With that, I'll leave you with the promo album art that RR has released as a teaser...
